This is primarily a politics and foreign policy blog, but will on occasion stray into sports, pop-culture and other matters.  I am an attorney and have been practicing law for seven years.  Before law school, I was a counter-terrorism researcher and analyst for a non-governmental research institution in Washington, DC. 

I am an unabashed patriot.  I believe the U.S. is the heir and product of 500 years of European philosophical thought.  The U.S. is the greatest country the world has ever known.

Despite real, thorny and stubborn domestic problems and imperfections, these must be seen and addressed within the proper context.  U.S. Decline would mark a global regression.
